Since inception, the Police Athletic League (PAL) of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) have shared a unique, long-standing partnership unlike any other in the nation. The PPD stands alone as the only department in the country to make such a significant in-kind contribution to the mission of "Cops Helping Kids" by dedicating an entire police unit to oversee PAL centers throughout Philadelphia.
