Another exciting PAL Day at Temple Football took place on September 14,2013, during the much anticipated Temple versus Fordham game.  Although Fordham ultimately won the game, the day was a smashing success for PAL and its youth constituency. Once again sponsored by Athole G. Jacobi, MD, PAL Day at Temple Football allowed youngsters to spend an enjoyable Saturday afternoon at a collegiate sporting event where they were able to cheer on their hometown Temple Owls.

Prior to the game, PAL children lined the tunnel to high-five Temple players as they made their way to the field.  The excited children basked in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. During the game, PAL children and fans watched as Dr. Jacobi, Temple University President Dr. Neil Theobald, PAL Board of Directors Treasurer as well as President and General Manager of 6ABC Bernie Prazenica, PAL Commanding Officer Lt. William Eddis and PAL Director of Development Lindsay Farrington, gathered on field for a check presentation.  Dr. Jacobi generously presented PAL with a $15,000 check to support PAL’s after-school and summer programming.

PAL thanks Dr. Athole Jacobi and Temple University for their generosity and for collaborating to support PAL’s mission of “Cops Helping Kids.”
