James is a 14 year old boy who lives on Diamond Street, which is located in the Wynnefield section of West Philadelphia. He is in 7th grade at the Samuel Gompers School and his favorite subject in school is math. When James grows up he wants to be an NBA player or a scientist. Basketball is his favorite sport. When James is not at PAL or in school, he enjoys playing NBA 2K17 and working out with his stepdad.
James first learned of PAL around a year ago when a friend from school told him about it. He immediately fell in love with it, due to the safe environment for him to brush up on his basketball skills. James’s favorite things about PAL are being around other kids and seeing Officer Little mentor and nurture the other kids. James holds a special place in his heart for Officer Little because of her emphasis on reading and education as a whole. He believes that this is important and appreciates Officer Little’s efforts and contributions to the growth of the kids. James values PAL for its ability to keep kids off the streets after school and for the mentors it provides to the youth at Wynnefield PAL.
After high school, James wants to go to college and study math or astronomy.
