Girls Basketball Camp a Slam Dunk!

More than 150 girls from 20 PAL centers across Philadelphia dedicated one week to learning everything they can about basketball and teamwork. PAL’s annual Girls Basketball Camp provides hundreds of girls with a safe and fun activity during the summer. Girls participated in basketball instruction, practices and strength-building exercises and competed in friendly scrimmages.

NBA Cares and the Philadelphia 76ers Summer Hoops Tour brought former 76ers legend World B. Free to the camp. He led the young female athletes as they practiced their moves on the court. Free spent one camp day exercising with the girls and provided them with coaching and encouraged them to give their all on and off the court.

The week of hard work culminated with five-on-five basketball games and a BBQ at the hosting PAL center. Special thanks to NBA Cares, 76ers Summer Hoops Tour and all participants for another great PAL Girls Basketball Camp!
