More than 300 youth from each PAL center competed in an indoor soccer tournament for four weeks. Players from all 27 teams were outfitted with shirts and shin guards to keep.

Aside from keeping children safe, off the streets and involved in constructive programming, PAL’s indoor soccer provided players with a team-based activity that introduced them to the world’s most popular sport just in time for the World Cup. Participants practiced basic soccer skills with their coaches while learning cooperation with their peers.

The program culminated with championship matches on May 29th at Harrowgate PAL. Tacony and Cobbs Creek PAL centers played for the title in the 11-and-Under division. After a tough battle, Team Tacony came out on top. The 13-and-Under division game was played by Gibbons and Rizzo PAL centers. Gibbons PAL took first place after an exciting game that went into overtime. Each player received awards and celebrated their hard work by enjoying pizza with their team.

PAL congratulates all participants who improved their soccer skills, tried their best and, above all, had fun.
