PAL Members Show off Their Talent at Night of the Arts
More than seventy-five PAL members showed off their singing, dancing, modeling and musical abilities at the fourth annual PAL Night of the Arts on May 30th. Excited families, friends and PAL supporters gathered at the Locke-Millcreek PAL center in West Philadelphia for an evening of fun and entertainment.
This year’s event was hosted by Wissinoming PAL star, Mariah Carroll, while each performer received their five minutes in the spotlight. The audience enjoyed song and dance routines, rapping, tap and break dancing, modeling and even flamenco guitar performances. PAL youngsters practiced for several weeks leading up to the event. The crowd was blown away by the impressive and interactive performances.
Guests were treated to special percussion and poetry performances by accomplished artists from ArtWell, a Philadelphia-based organization for creative youth. ArtWell engages young people in self-reflection and creative expression to discover and honor their strengths and those of others. Starting next school year, ArtWell will bring their important programs to PAL centers across the city with the help of PAL supporters, Anne and Andy Abel.
PAL congratulates all performers for having the courage to share their talents on stage.
