The GEICO Golf Program wrapped up on Friday, August 16, 2013 with a scrimmage and awards ceremony at Juniata Golf Club. A hundred youngsters from across the City took part in the week-long camp to conclude another great summer of fun-filled learning and physical activity. GEICO’s support for the past six years has helped PAL teach invaluable life lessons through golf, such as patience, honesty and working to achieve goals.

Throughout the summer, almost three hundred children took part in the three-part program. GEICO Junior Golf kicked off in the spring with children participating in the Greater Philadelphia First Tee program for six weeks. Campers then took part in an eight-week Kids on the Hill program. The program closed with a week of golf instruction and competition at the Juniata Golf Club in Philadelphia.

Participants received several awards for participation and remarkable achievement. GEICO representative Aaron spent a day with PAL on the golf course and was on hand to congratulate campers for their accomplishments. Two youngsters were even recognized for being outstanding campers and received a set of brand new golf clubs and a bag.

PAL thanks GEICO for another great summer and continuing to support important programs for Philadelphia youth.
