On May 7th, three very deserving PAL Board members were presented with PAL’s highest honor: the 2014 PAL Award. David Campoli of Reit Management and Research, LLC, Robert Ciminelli of American Airlines and Lyn Pierce Strickler of Harmelin Media were honored for the commitment and dedication to the Police Athletic League, the young people PAL serves and the City of Philadelphia.
Presenting sponsor Verizon went above and beyond to support PAL and helped make this amazing showcase of PAL’s impact on Philadelphia communities come to fruition. Guests enjoyed a vibrant silent auction to kick off the evening. With exclusive experiences, vacations, and personal interest items, there were nearly 300 prizes for attendees to bid on and enjoy. The program – which included talented PAL children who both sang and spoke to the crowd – touched the hearts of each of the nearly 950 guests in attendance.
The PAL Award Dinner is PAL’s largest and most integral fundraiser of the year, allowing PAL to raise funds critical to successfully supporting the needs of Philadelphia’s youth and running quality educational, athletic, recreational and cultural programming. The Award Dinner Co-Chairs, Michael A. Innocenzo of PECO and Robert M. Miller of Verizon, Auction Co-Chairs Kristin Long of Tribune Broadcasting and Robert J. Mindick of TD Bank and Tribute Book Co-Chairs Regina E. Canfield of PNC and Brian Monihan of Comcast SportsNet, and their respective committees, worked extremely hard to make this one of PAL’s most successful fundraisers ever.
PAL congratulates Dave, Bob and Lyn on being the 2014 PAL Award recipients!
